Lumecca is a very powerful intense pulsed light (IPL) laser treatment that targets hyperpigmentation and vascular lesions.

Though there are many different options on the market for IPL therapy, Lumecca IPL has proven to be much stronger and more effective:

- The number of treatments is less than a traditional IPL: 1-2 treatments compared to 6-8 with other devices.
- After your first treatment you will see significant reduction in any sun damage, freckles, age spots, darkened scars, rosacea, vascular lesions.
- A higher pulse repetition rate makes it less time consuming to treat larger areas.
- The tip of the device is made of sapphire, which causes a strong cooling sensation and gets rid of the need for topical numbing.
- There is no recovery time: the IPL does not cause peeling, only slight redness immediately following treatment.

Over the next one to two days, you will notice a darkening of pigmented spots. In the weeks following, the pigmented lesions will clear, completely evening out the skin tone and spots. If we are treating vascular lesions, you may see the vein blanch or a color change in the vessel, which will dissipate after a few days.
